London wide Apprenticeships for Lifeguards Launched

Do you have what it takes to become a Recreation Assistant working for London's Most Successful Social Enterprise? Do you want to be paid whilst you train? If yes, then read on!
Greenwich Leisure Limited, in partnership with London Leisure College, have launched an Apprenticeship scheme aimed at getting local people into paid jobs and kick starting their career in the leisure industry.
What is it? The Recreation Assistant Apprenticeship is a 15 week training course which includes the following qualifications: National Pool Lifeguard (NPLQ), First Aid at Work, Customer Care Certificate (NCFE) and NVQ2 in Leisure. The course also includes work based learning and you will be paid whilst you complete your training.
Where does it lead? Successful completion of the course may lead to a full time Recreation Assistant post where you could earn up to £17k per year. Other benefits include ongoing training, and opportunities to progress your career in the leisure industry with the UK's leading leisure trust.
