LLC students illuminate blackpool
Level 2 and Level 3 Travel and Tourism students spent a weekend in March working at the “International Fitness Showcase” in Blackpool as part of their Work Experience in Travel and Tourism and Customer Service and Selling Skills in Travel and Tourism units respectively.
BTEC National Sports students also took part to experience hands on sports industry experience.

Their participation involved them taking part in a major sport tourism event which attracted over 5000 sport and fitness professionals and enthusiasts from around the world. Their duties included providing information and help to clients, welcoming clients to each class, setting up and closing down each session as well as ensuring all eligible participants were admitted to their chosen classes.
Subject leader Dawn Parkes is hoping that London Leisure College's relationship with the event will continue:
"The weekend was a great success with many clients and organisers complimenting and congratulating our students on their professional attitude and commitment throughout the weekend, including 6am starts! Such was the level of satisfaction from the organisers that this partnership is likely to be repeated annually and further developed."
