Future Train
FutureTrain is an initiative, supported by the London Development Agency and Employers within the Leisure, Fitness and Events Industry, which has offered development opportunities to the next generation of trainers and assessors for the leisure industry across Greater London. Between January 2007 and October 2008, FutureTrain has worked with 315 participants who have attended free training in the following areas:
- A1 Assessor Award (assessing work-based NVQs)
- First Aid at Work Trainer/Assessor
- IQL Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor
- CYQ Active Leisure Sector Trainer/Assessor
- Train the Trainer (developing training and presentational skills)
FutureTrain was tasked with ensuring that half of the beneficiaries work in the 5 Olympic Host Boroughs and has exceeded its targets for these Boroughs and also for the remaining London Boroughs.
