Are you a female between 16 & 18?. Are you interested in combining schoolwork with the life of a professional footballer? Are you interested in being part of a growing and exciting young female football club?
If the answer to those three questions is yes then Charlton Athletic Girls Academy may well be the place for you.
In partnership with London Leisure College Charlton Athletic has run a highly successful Academy program for the last half a dozen years.
Our aim along with London Leisure College is to give our Scholars the best opportunity to excel within the classroom as well as on the football pitch.
London Leisure College offers a vast range of sport related BTEC and NVQ courses as well as A Levels. Girls also have the opportunity to qualify in numerous sports and fitness activities.
At Charlton we offer the girls the chance to take their Level 1 and Level 2 courses and the chance to work in our Celebrated Community Scheme as coaches.
Girls will also have the chance to experience football overseas as we can offer them the opportunity to join Colleges in America (Scholarships) as we have very strong links with top Colleges and often invite them over to play us . There is also the chance to go there for a summer to play in tournaments for local teams.
Our girls have actually gone on to full time Employment within sport, University and American Scholarships as well as going on to play for our Senior Football Teams and are happy to say that more than half the 40 plus senior squad have progressed through the Academy so there are great opportunities to do well with us.
We believe that we offer an all round package that is the best in this area for young female footballers, we offer the chance for players to:

Coach within Girls Centre of Excellence
Coach at Girls Development Centre
Be Part of a top School and Sports Program
Play in a competitive Academy League
Play for our 1st or Reserve Teams
