IQL Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Pool Supervision & Rescue (NPLQ) Renewal
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is for candidates who wish to renew their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Candidates may renew their qualification only within the period of validity of their existing qualification.
ARE THERE ANY PRE-REQUISITES?
Candidates must meet the following on-going training criteria before being submitted for a renewal assessment:
- Provide written evidence of having completed a minimum 20 hours lifesaving, CPR, first aid and competency assessment in conjunction with the undertaking of lifeguard duties within the period of validity of the qualification
- Hold a current full National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)(i.e. Units 1 and 2)
- Have access to a copy of “The Lifeguard”, available from Lifesavers Direct, which includes the most recent updates

The course is completed in one day (10am – 4pm)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This course is full cost and the fee for the course depends on who is paying.
- If you are paying the fee yourself you are designated as an ‘Individual’.
- If your employer is paying your fee then you will be designated ‘Employer’.

You must write the following three pieces of information on the back of the cheque and enclose it with your application form:
- Name of the course
- Dates of the course
- The name of the person taking the course

We will then send you confirmation of your place, payment and directions to the training venue.
Please note: Your place is not confirmed on a course until full payment is received and you have been sent confirmation details. Minimum numbers are required for the course to run and dates/venues may be subject to change.
