HSE First Aid at Work Certificate Renewal
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is designed for all staff with a valid 3 year HSE First Aid at Work Certificate that will shortly require renewal.
ARE THERE ANY PRE-REQUISITES?
- Candidates must be 18 years or older at the start of the course
- Candidates must complete their renewal before their First Aid at Work Certificate expires. Failure to do so will result in candidates having to complete the full 4 day FAW course
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The course will enable HSE certificate holders to renew their qualification for a further three years and provides the opportunity to review and refresh thinking/understanding.
It covers:
- Resuscitation
- Control of bleeding
- Fractures
- Strains and Sprains
- Illness and Injury . . . and more
HOW IS THE COURSE STRUCTURED?
The course is completed over 2 days.
Assessment takes place on the second day and at the end of the course candidates will be competent in; Resuscitation, Shock, Bleeding, Unconsciousness, First Aid Kits/Boxes, Transporting Casualties, Minor Injuries to Bones, Muscles & Joints, Burns & Scalds, Eye Injuries, Poisons, Record Keeping, Hygiene and Communication in First Aid Emergency and Minor Injuries.

How much does it cost?
This course is full cost and the fee for the course depends on who is paying.
- If you are paying the fee yourself you are designated as an ‘Individual’.
- If your employer is paying your fee then you will be designated ‘Employer’.

You must write the following three pieces of information on the back of the cheque and enclose it with your application form:
- Name of the course
- Dates of the course
- The name of the person taking the course

We will then send you confirmation of your place, payment and directions to the training venue.
Please note: Your place is not confirmed on a course until full payment is received and you have been sent confirmation details. Minimum numbers are required for the course to run and dates/venues may be subject to change.
