HSE First Aid at Work Certificate

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

First Aid at Work is intended to cover situations arising in industry, in particular for the large company or those operating in a more hazardous environment. It is suitable for:

  • The larger company
  • Offices with 50 plus employees
  • Engineering companies with more than 20 employees
  • High risk employment with more than 5 employees

ARE THERE ANY PRE-REQUISITES?

  • Candidates must be 16 years or older at the start of the course

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

First Aid at Work is approved by the Health and Safety Executive. It covers primary and secondary care and the treatment and management of medical emergencies in the work place. This is a very informative course and students will enjoy taking part in active exercises, which simulate emergency situations

HOW IS THE COURSE STRUCTURED?

The course is 4 days long and includes 24 hours of training.

Assessment takes part on the last day of the course and tests a candidate’s ability to carry out; CPR, First Aid on someone who is unconscious and someone who is wounded / bleeding.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

This course is full cost and the fee for the course depends on who is paying.

  • If you are paying the fee yourself you are designated as an ‘Individual’.
  • If your employer is paying your fee then you will be designated ‘Employer’.

You must write the following three pieces of information on the back of the cheque and enclose it with your application form:

  • Name of the course
  •  Dates of the course
  • The name of the person taking the course

We will then send you confirmation of your place, payment and directions to the training venue.

 

Please note: Your place is not confirmed on a course until full payment is received and you have been sent confirmation details. Minimum numbers are required for the course to run and dates/venues may be subject to change.
